Whether a new leader is hired from the outside, promoted, or moved laterally to foster career development, effective transition to and assimilation within the new role is required for performance success. Research and our own experiences confirm that the future success in new leadership roles is rooted in actions taken during the first 90-100 days in the role. Our structured approach helps facilitate and accelerate this process by assisting the new leader in managing individual transition related issues, begin to develop effective working relationships with new peers and direct reports, as well as establishing a near term performance improvement agenda for his/her team.
